Ilaria Cianchetta

Ilaria Cianchetta received her degree in physics in 2006 from the University of Rome La Sapienza and her master’s degree in materials science in 2009. She was awarded her PhD in chemistry in 2013 and then moved to the US to take up a postdoctoral fellowship at the Getty Conservation Institute. Ilaria joined Cell Press in 2016 to become Chem’s first scientific editor, covering physical and materials chemistry. In March 2020 was promoted to the inaugural Chem Catalysis as editor-in-chief.

Yanfei Zhu

Yanfei obtained her master's degree in 2017 from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and PhD degree from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST, CAS, China). After that, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at NCNST. She joined the Chem Catalysis team as a scientific editor in 2021 and is currently based in the Shanghai office. Yanfei specializes in heterogeneous catalysis, material sciences, and energy-related applications.

Xiaoxiao Qiao
Xiaoxiao Qiao — Scientific editor

Xiaoxiao earned her PhD in material and organic chemistry from Indiana University in 2016. She then moved to Argonne National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory for postdoctoral studies on applications of catalysts in Li-air batteries, fuel cells, and water electrolyzers. She joined Chem Catalysis in January 2022 and is based in the Cambridge, MA office. She specializes in organic/organometallic chemistry, homogenous catalysis, and their applications.
